Overview

A single screen that ranks the eight major currencies - the US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc, and the Canadian, Australian and New Zealand Dollars - from strongest to weakest, so you can see where the money is flowing before you look at a single chart.

How it works

Each currency's score is its average move against the other seven over the recent window, computed from European Central Bank reference rates. Green bars grow to the right for strength, red to the left for weakness. Pair a strong currency with a weak one and you have the clearest trend to study.

Educational only

The meter is a market-information tool, not a signal or a recommendation to trade. It tells you what has already happened to the majors; what you do with that is your own decision, and trading carries real risk.
